Ferrari 308 GTB Gr4

Since 2011, thirty-six years after the launch of this iconic vehicle, ASM Historic Motorsport offers the possibility  to acquire the Ferrari 308 GTB with Group 4 specifications, for either circuit racing or all the rallying disciplines, build as for the FIA homologation 648.

ASM Historic Motorsport offers the possibility of acquiring the Ferrari 308 GTB with Group 4 specifications.

After a long period of research and planning, currently we can offer two levels of preparation that will optimize the performance of our race car, always starting from the production vehicle, either fiberglass or steel bodyshell and from the dry sump engine.

 

FERRARI 308 GTB Gr4 PREPARATION

This first level of preparation will allow us to have a race or rally ready Ferrari with all components at their peak of evolution, while retaining the chassis and bodywork of the vehicle in its original state.

Preparation shall include the following sections:

  • General Car Disassemble.
  • Set Car on flat bench, verify dimensions and structural changes.
  • Complete Re-assemle of the car.
  • Std. Engine inspection for safety.
  • FIA Roll bar.
  • Electrical Instalation ASM group 4.
  • Dashboard and instrumentation group 4.
  • Heated winscreen.
  • Kit fiber glass wheel arches.
  • 2 rear wheels 12×15” &  2 front wheels 8×15”.
  • Backets, 6 points Hareness, FIA extinguisher system.
  • PIAA Gr4 bonnet pods.
  • Twin disc competition clutch complete with flywheel.
  • Group 4 Exhaust.
  • Makrolon windows. Upgrade of side and rear windows.
  • Fuel tank FIA anex J 1981.
  • Upgrade of suspension, brakes and steering.
  • Modify suspension arms and Gr4 bushes.
  • Adjustable suspension 2 way ASM / nadaltech.
  • AP racing brakes.
  • Steering direct Gr4.
  • Modify steering column.
  • Quick release steering wheel.
  • Pedal box Gr4.
  • Upgrade of oil, fuel, clutch, brake and water lines.
  • Upgrade of cooling systems.
  • Aeroquip hose and fittings, fuel, oil, brakes and clutch.
  • New alloy radiators and  fan systems ( water and oil).
  • Alloy oil tank.
  • Alloy underfloor guard.
  • Gearbox upgrade to gr.4 spec.
  • Heavy Duty  Engine Mount.
  • Close ratio gearbox.
  • Transmision pinions.
  • LSD differential setting.
  • Obtaining the FIA HTP.

FERRARI 308 GTB FULL Gr4 WORKS SPECIFICATION

This second level of preparation with Ferrari works Group 4 specifications include the transformation of chassis and bodyshell to the maximum evolution, giving to it the structural rigidity and lightness, with the aim participate in competition with the best possible vehicle and the best guarantees of victory.

Preparation shall include the following sections:

  • Everything described in the previous section plus;
  • Complete Metal and fiber bodyshell disassemle.
  • Sandblasting tubular chassis.
  • Set Chassis on flat bench, verify dimensions and structural changes.
  • Chasis painting.
  • Complete COCKPIT, engine compartment and front compartment Gr 4.
  • Adjustable antirollbar.
  • Complete fiberglass bodyshell assembly.

FERRARI ENGINE PREPARATION (OPTIONAL)

Last but not least, the preparation of the Ferrari V8-cylinder engine, with 2926 cc aspirated and 252 hp at 7600 rpm, to obtain a final power over 300CV at 8000 rpm.

Preparation shall include the following sections:

  • Complete disassembly of the engine.
  • Measurement, verification and balancing of all its components.
  • High compression pistons.
  • Pistons rings.
  • Forget steel conrods.
  • Machinning heads and engine block.
  • Crankshaft + flywheel + clutch balanced.
  • Camshafts rally.
  • Valves.
  • Valve springs.
  • Valve supports and shims.
  • Carburettors upgrade.
  • Ignition upgrade.
  • Heat gaskets.
  • ARP studs.
  • Cam puleys & belds.
  • All bearings & gaskets.
  • Total assembly.
